The Important Requirements on Getting SP in PH

The basic thing to get a Driver's license is to get s Student Permit, but since some of our Kababayan don't know what is the requirements on having an SP, so we decided to create this post to get you a details on how to get your Student Permit and what is actually the requirements.

Qualifications for Student Permit

Before you plan to get SP make sure that you meet all the qualifications listed below, as you can see the person should at least 17 years of age and above, and must be physically and mentally fit to drive a motorcycle or vehicle, and take note that make sure you know how to speak Tagalog or Filipino Language as well as English, for foreigners who is planning also to get one please read the list provided below.

1. Must be at least seventeen (17) years old.
2. Must be physically and mentally fit to operate a motor vehicle.
3. Must be able to read and write in Filipino or english or the applicable local dialect; and
4. In addition, for foreigners, the applicant must be eighteen (18) years old and must have been in the Philipppines for at least one (1) year from date of application.

List of Student Permit Requirements

For a quick explanation all the important requirements is the NSO Certificate and that you have at least 1 Xerox copy of the NSO, and please be guided that you need also to bring your original copy of NSO.

1. Duly accomplished Application form for Driver's License (ADL);
2. Original and photocopy of birth certificate duly authenticated by National Statistics Office (NSO);
3. If below eighteen (18) years of age, original copy of parental/guardian's consent with original and photocopy of one (1) valid government issued Identification Card containing the signature of the consenting parent/guardian; and
4. Medical Certificate issued by any licensed practicing physician stating that the applicant is physically and mentally fit to operate a motor vehicle or otherwise stating his/her impairment.
5. In addition, for foreigners, original and photocopy of passport with entry date of at least one (1) month and visa duration of at least one (1) year from date of application, or if born in the Philippines, present original and photocopy of birth certificate duly authenticated by the NSO.

Once you have all the Requirements please follow all the steps that we will listed below, the steps here is base on what we experience so this is you need to do.

1. First, you need to take your Medical Certificate this is to ensure that you are fit to have a student permit, the payment is around 250php - 350php so it might be a little difference on your location but make sure that the medical is license and approve by the LTO.
2. next submit your requirements with Medical Certificate to Window 1, and wait until the process done.
3. Your name will be called and then you will have a picture taking, including the virtual signature.
4. After that just wait for your name to be called again for releasing.
