PhilHealth Binilisan na ang Pag-gawa sa Health Care IRR

PhilHealth hastens the implementation of rules and regulations (IRR) of the Universal Health Care where the authorities are fast-tracking its drafting. The drafting of the IRR is in full swing as the agency held the stakeholder's forum and workshop among its technical working groups that are created by a purpose stated by the acting PhilHealth President and Chief executive officer Roy Ferrer.

“The sooner we finish the IRR with the Department of Health, the earlier this can be subjected to public consultations and more importantly the sooner it gets implemented for the benefit of our countrymen,” Ferrer stated in a statement.

The PhilHealth recently conducted a health care financing summit. It was themed by “Multiple Lenses, One Collective Stand on Health Financing: A Framework for Action.” This summit aims to gain experts and stakeholders having a vision on how to have a better approach in health care financing issues as an input and as well as a guide to the crafting of the Universal Health Care’s IRR. The said agency has already completed its first round of the IRR workshop held in Pampanga. 

The first round of the IRR workshop was undergoing a series of meetings and discussion between technical working groups with the other national government agencies. Based on the law, all Filipinos citizen should be included in the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP). Its guarantee their immediate eligibility to the benefits of the program.
